Week 1


Week 1 - 

The start of this project began with research of level design and it's workings. This lead me to researching kishotenketsu and the four parts of level design. My first goal before creating a basic map of the level was to meet these four parts which were: introduction, development, twist and conclusion. For the introduction i plan to introduce simple jumps across platforms as this is a universal mechanic. To develop the players abilities the next part of the stage is to jump onto a moving platform. As the twist the player will gain access to a super jump pickup which will conclude the level.

I drew a quick map to place ideas on and where to place keys to block progress.
